There is something to be said about not making long weekend plans and letting yourself go where the wind takes you. Just some of where it took me:
* new laptop computer as an impulse buy
* hanging w/a good friend who can do all the computer program setups/installations/prep
* new friends’ house for a sumptuous meal of BBQ ribs, garlic bread, baked asparagus, melon balls, pasta salad and caramel apple martinis over great table conversation seated outside in a beautiful backyard w/wonderful weather
* being loved by a happy golden retriever
* casual evening strolls
* easy laughs, good times
* more self discoveries and discoveries about friends
I should not make plans more often.
I could feel your joy by just reading your brief descriptions of the events. 🙂 I like the “no expectation” perspective.
Awesome! That food sounded scrumptious. That also sounds like a HUGE change from what you were eating 2 months ago. Have you been eating healthy lately?
Do you both your desktop and your laptop connected on a network or a router so you can access the net from both computers?
No expectation never disappoints!
As for eating healthy lately…uh…I have my spurts of healthy, usually in minute-long intervals. You thought alcohol and pizza and bbq ribs sound healthy? What have you been eating?
Desktop = DSL
Laptop = wireless service, so I probably can’t access internet from home
Well, it sounds a lot better than 1/2 pints of ice cream and other random junk.
Isn’t your DSL at home? So can’t you access the net from home?
I don’t have a wireless router at home, my PC is plugged into the phone jack. But maybe I can “steal” a signal from home. I’ll see.
