I just cast my vote for Maurice Drew to win the Heisman trophy. Our last (and only) Heisman winner was quarterback Gary Beban in 1967.
6-0.
Go Bruins.

Sorry but the voting will go as follows:
winner: reggie bush USC
runner up : matt leinart USC
3rd place Vince Young Texas Long Horns (my choice)
4th Maurice Jones-Drew UCLA
5th lawrence Maroney minnesota
6th Bradey Quinn Notre Dame
did you know that maurice drews grandfather died at his game last year of a heart attack? it was a sad story. but maurice used it as inspiration and puts jones-drew on his jersey now.
Hey, put that needle away and let me have SOME hope bubbles! But yeah, you’re probably right. *grumble* I like how you put your boy one higher than mine.
I did see that special segment on Maurice Drew. It was very touching. I was surprised how quickly Drew returned to the field after that happened, considering he regarded his grandfather as his father. But ya know, if his grandfather could choose a time and place to go, that would’ve been it, watching his boy kick ass from the stands.
Wow a girl that watches sports, how cool is that? Hey Vince has been a front runner and he had an awesome weekend with his 5 touchdowns. Bush wins because he is just something special. Leinart is second because he won last year. it’s hard to win back to back heismans. Archie Griffin from ohio state did it in the 70’s.
I guess we’ll see in December. It’s being held at the Hilton in NY this year. Almost worth the $500 per guest, since I think I stayed at that hotel before and it was over $300/nite anyway, except without the dinner banquet and souvenirs.
Re watching sports, sorry, I don’t. I just follow my alma mater. =)
ok then save this post and we shall see. so do you follow them every year or only this year because they are winning?
I always save my posts.
And…OKAY, OKAY, you got me, I’m only keeping an interested eye on them this year cuz they actually stand half a chance! They’d been doing crappy since I graduated in ’98.
