I found this site that shows you what the gasoline prices are in any area of your choice (in the US and Canada) as of the past 48 hours. Just click on your state, then click on your city. Or, enter your zip code. For your convenience, I’m also including this site on my sidebar, to your right.
Local prices for my area are $2.65/gallon thru Costco. I’ve been looking at what Costco has to offer with renewed interest since Mr. W added me to his Costco account. Boyfriend perk.
Something interesting:

I appear to live at the wrong half of the state for a premium gas car.
Thanks Gas Buddy! I notice that all the states around Florida have cheaper gas prices.. but Florida is still up there a bit. Heh.
Still not what you’re paying though.. geeze, you’d think the gas is hauled in from Kentucky, so you all have to pay some sort of surcharge for it.
Isn’t it hauled from the Middle East? That’s why I was buying exclusively Arco for awhile, since it’s British Petroleum and not Middle East gas. Plus it’s typically 0.20/gal cheaper. I had to stop when my mechanic explained the toll cheapie gas was taking on my car.
Kentucky was a joke… I’ve been buying from BP and Hess (which doesn’t come from the M.E.).. I am not supporting them.
My cars drink too much gas. I got 12 MPG this morning driving to work :(. Of course I was stuck in traffic for an hour and a half averaging 15MPH too though.
I actually managed to get my average up to 23.3 MPG. Still working on raising it. The sticker says 21/28.
Hey did your car get rained on today? I washed my new one last weekend and kept it in the garage until today (so I wouldn’t have to wash it again this weekend).
And it just so happens the day I take it out for a drive it rains! Grrrr.
Plus I had to get in to work today at 8:00am. I left home at 6:40 but didnt get to work until 8:20 due to obscenely congested traffic.
So I was annoyed with the traffic already when I saw the rain start falling, realizing I might need to wash my car again anyway! grrr.
And then in bumper to bumper traffic on city streets — some annoying guy in an eclipse was driving like an idiot. I was at a stoplight in the far right lane. 1 car was in front of me but pulled to the right (like he was making a right turn but he didn’t). I was behind him but pulled to the left. So this white banged up eclipse squeezes in next to me on the right. But I thought this was OK — he might be trying to make a right turn.
At this point, I was annoyed with the car in front of us for being too far to the right, therefore making the eclipse guy wait for the light before he could turn right. When the light finally turned green I pulled forward slowly to give the eclipse time to make his right turn. Instead he swerved to the right, gunned it, and swerved back left, and cut right in front of me! #$%#$%#@ Asshole. And I was doubly pissed because I felt sorry for him earlier!!!
And then he proceeds to cut 2 other people off so he could get to the left lane. Then he goes into a left turn lane. Does he turn left??? NOPE!!! Instead, he uses it to pass and cut off another car.
For the bonus round, he goes into the center divider lane and floors it, passing a bunch of cars and then cuts back in just as the divider lane ends! What an ass!!!
That was some seriously reckless driving. It was obvious his car had been in several accidents — and I can see why :P.
So yea, my drive to work sucked today. Oh well, at least I have the day off tomorrow 🙂
WHOA! That would’ve PISSED ME OFF! But what would’ve made me feel better is knowing that EVERYBODY’S screaming bloody murder at this guy, so everyone’s gonna be a jerk to him and not let him in. White beat-up Eclipse, eh? I’ll keep an eye out. If I see one I’ll cut him off! Or more likely, just stay away from the psycho.
This silver Infiniti G35 coupe was trying to race me getting on the freeway today. I’d passed him after a light to get into the freeway onramp, and he wanted to take the other lane on the onramp to beat me, and since the light from the ramp to join the freeway was red, I let him get ahead of me in the other lane so his car can activate the sensor and make the light green, and he’d have to stop to wait for the light change, but I just kept coasting and rolling. Yup, the light turned green before I had to make a full stop, and I was off. From my rear-view mirrors, I could see that he changed lanes to the left before me so he got into the stream of traffic first (there were a lot of cars), but I gunned the car slightly, flew right by all the cars that were in front of him, and got into the left-most, fastest-moving lane and I never saw him again. HA! I’m glad I didn’t buy that car.
And yes, it rained on me yesterday driving to work. I could’ve taken the “WAH, it RAINED on my NEW CAR!” approach, but I decided instead to take the “I get to see how my windshield wipers work! Yay!” approach. Besides, we get our Zaino crap today so I’d planned to wash my car this weekend, anyway.
