Is it too predictable for me to post something about how AWESOME the UCLA-USC game was on Saturday, and how by winning our cross-town arch rival ‘SC, we not only kicked them out of the #2 spot and trampled on their chances of being champions in the BCUs, but we also cut short their 7-year winning streak against us (right before their 7-year streak was our 8-year winning streak against them, and they were hoping to tie our record with this game)? Yes? Well, then, I won’t talk about it.
Go Bruins!
Okay, I’ll stop now.
Oh, one more thing. My childhood friend Vicky, who attended USC for pharmacy school, said in the final moments of the game as she sat on the phone with me, after I told her about UCLA’s interception when USC was on the 13-yard line, “AUGH! Matt Leinart may as well just stand there and have all the Bruins line up and slap him across the face!” HAHAHA!!
Okay, NOW I’m done. Right after you click here.
Does your friend realize Matt Leinart doesn’t play for them anymore????
Mr. Wonderful told me what a big deal that game was.
Good luck!!
All I know about football, is GO OHIO STATE!!!
heh heh
Flat Coke – I think she oughta know, I mean, she is a Trojan. I think what she meant by the comment was since Leinart had worked so hard for the 7-year streak, and to get ‘SC so high up in the rankings, them losing this game was like just slapping him in the face and flushing all his work down the toilet.
Jordan – Okay, I’ll cheer on Ohio in solidarity with you. Unless they’re playing UCLA.
my friends and i were thinking about playing a drinking game when we were watching – everytime the announcers say “john david booty,” we would have to drink one. and dude, they must have said that name 50 times…
wow. you must’ve decided not to play because you were able to text msg me game updates w/o spelling errors. 🙂
oh y eah, we thought to play the game late in the day, so we were all sober, which was a good thing. i would hate to not be able to remember this game because we were drunk.
My CFO graduated from Ohio State and is a HUGE fan. He loves it so much that he gave Troy Smith a full scholarship and goes to every game. We just checked in from hotels from the their big game and the one he wants is $1500/night with a 3-night min. I’m glad I don’t have to break the news to him. We checked and all hotels within a 30mins radius are all booked.
I wouldn’t worry about it. Money talks. They’ll find a room for him somewhere, where they had no idea was available, but will be really nice and expensive.
Gotcha!!
eh?
