You know I’m bored when THIS is the highlight of my workday. Written in a Marital Settlement Agreement by a private attorney, no less, the soon-to-be ex-wife and ex-husband agree that in the raising of their 8-year-old daughter,
“Neither party shall use corporate punishment on the child at any time.”
So they’re basically agreeing that if the child misbehaved in school, for example, they’re not gonna say, “You’ve been a bad girl! That’s it, no more stock options or 401K contribution matches for YOU! Go to your room!”. Lucky kid.
Your work has the most interesting stuff that comes up! THe only thing that has been interesting around here lately….is me measuring my boss’ head! 🙂
But it’s not that interesting! It’s SO uninteresting that something stupid like typo-ing “corporate” for “corporal” is blog-worthy.
We’ve been in the same civil car accident trial for 3 weeks now. Yesterday, the defense atty said, “Can you believe we’re almost done? Bet you never thought you’d see the end of this trial.”
I said, “Yes, it IS cold today in this hell.”
He laughed and replied, “You see a snowball back there?”
And that was the most interesting thing any of us said yesterday.
