The Simpsons Movie is one of THE best movies I’ve seen at the theatre this year! It dropped my jaw a few times in a South Park way, and had me laughing out loud every 15 minutes! I would so watch that again!

because of that recommendation alone, I will have to watch the Simpson movie (wasn’t going to).. but now I am.
we saw “I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry” instead…. it was funny… but probably not as funny as YOUR movie.
Alright! I am sooo happy to hear it cuz I am going on a *cough* “date” this Friday and we are going to go watch that.
what was your fav moment?
Diana – I don’t want to ruin things for the would-be viewers, but fave moments include but are in no means limited to, implicitly or explicitly,
(1) Bart skateboarding thru the streets Austin Powers-style;
(2) the TV moments
a) the initial satire about paying for something we can see on TV for free
b) the banner ad
c) “to be continued…”
(3) D’OOOOOOOME!
Jordan and Vanessa – I hope you enjoy your Simpsons dates as much as I did! =)
Oh man, that just reinforced my determination to go watch it.
BTW, I LOVED Transformers! How can you not like that movie?!
I’m with Jordan. I’m going to probably going to see it now b/c of YOUR post. Maybe I have an angle here with Bat…I can score points with the “Hey Bat let’s go see the Simpsons!!” and then I’ll have that to hang over his head the next time I want him to go see a chick flick with me. I actually thought the previews WERE funny so I might just give it a try!
I’ve heard Transformers is the best movie EVER.
TurboTiger – I thought Transformers was hard to follow, I had to fight to stay awake, there weren’t enough “zing” lines (things that made me laugh/cry/think/have any human response to), and I just expected more based on everyone’s reviews. Yeah, everybody LOVED it. They raved about the action (which I admit was very well done) and about the humor in the lines, but I just didn’t see it. But it was easier to take the 2nd time around. After seeing it with Vanessa and James, I watched it again with Mr. W. Mr. W had to fight to stay awake, too, altho I thought it was more understandable the 2nd time around. I’ll say one thing — the ending surprised me.
Flat Coke – you don’t need brownie points with movies! You’re the girl who suggests Die Hard without ever having seen the first few Die Hard releases! You should have brownie points stacked up in spare somewhere! One thing tho…The Simpsons is funnier if you’ve seen the episodes on TV before.
