Tue 30 Oct 2007
This is a memo sent to all employees, and I’m posting it as my public service announcement for the year:
~ * ~
This is to remind all employees that Daylight Savings Time will occur late this year on Sunday, November 4, 2007. Normally, the time change takes place the last week in October.
If not accomplished electronically, please ensure that all necessary security/fire alarm systems, access control systems, building management systems, telephone systems, PDAs, cell phones, etc. are adjusted appropriately.
In addition, employees are reminded to adjust their personal watches, clocks, and alarms so to avoid delay in reporting times.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
ha ha ha, thanks for the early reminder! 🙂
Well, it’s not “early” really, if you didn’t get news that it’s NOT going to change last Sunday contrary to every computer’s pre-set programming. Surprisingly, my work computer displays the correct time.
my computer and phone stayed the same… but I heard that some computers and cell phones weren’t “with it” and fell back for DSL.
or… at least they used that as an excuse for being late for work over the weekend.
hmmmmph.
I too heard some people have digital clocks that were not updated to the new time change next weekend. Obvoiusly they were not on time for church Sunday morning!!
Jordan – there was a small debate going on about what time it actually was over at Mr. W’s house on Sunday. Apparently nobody told his son’s new laptop’s Vista interface that Daylight Savings is a week late this year.
Flat Coke – ACK! I totally missed church on Sunday! For, like, the 11th year in a row!
