Each year we would go to Solvang for the 100 mile bicycle ride and our wedding anniversary around the last weekend in March, my second was born 11/26/98, with an expected due date of 12/3/98! That blew us away, but she was planned. My last one is the strange one, he was born in August so no explaination, except he has curly hair and looks nothing like me. Is that wierd? Do you and Mom do it the same time every year?" I don't know what I was thinking. The awkward silence afterwards sure was uncomfortable. Surprisingly, my dad responded. "Um, I guess so. I don't remember." Immediately the next question popped into my head. "What's so special about August?" I'm a quick learner though, so I decided to just shut up. Who knows what's so special about August. Actually, 30+ years later I don't know if my parents remember either. I just hope that in the early years of their marriage, sex wasn't something reserved as a special once-a-year activity. That sure would suck.
