It was so cold this morning that I put on pantyhose for the first time in 8 years. I took a new pair out of the package tucked into the way back of my socks drawer, put it on, and discovered that I am no longer the same size I was 8 years ago. When I bend my knees, elephant-trunk wrinkles appear on the backs of my knees as all this nylon goodness gathers there. Oh well, at least it helps keep me warm — it’s been much colder (meaning, for my readers in the east, temperatures in the 50s Fahrenheit) lately, and rain is now predicted to commence on Sunday and conclude on Thursday. This makes me nervous, since my bachelorette house (as differentiated from my marital house where I currently reside) had leaked in the rainstorm in October, and then again last month. According to my tenants, the leaks in the stairwell were so bad that rain filled bowls and dribbled down the chandelier and shorted the entire thing out. I now need to repair the stained damaged interior ceiling there and replace the chandelier. I went thru leakage hell last February when I was living there and due to association drama and idiocy and further rains the new roof couldn’t be done for months thereafter, so although I’m grateful for the 5-year warranty on the new roof (and the roofers did go out under warranty and reportedly did some work on the roof for free), I’m unhappy they didn’t seal what they’d needed to seal in the first place such that new leaks occurred. Yesterday, I called the roofing company that did the work and asked if their warranty extended to interior damage due to a workmanship defect on the outside. They told me the warranty didn’t, but that they’d send someone out to look at the interior damage to see what they could do for me. They’re gonna make arrangements with my tenants. *crossing fingers* The roofers don’t need to do the repairs themselves, but if they could just throw some money my way to help me fix the ceiling and get a new chandelier, I’d be happy.
Thanks for your web site on Psychic Scams I just made A Post, I Hope you Like it. I may post another one soon.
As for Your Hole problem, It sound like you got an insurance claim, and should he have been bonded, and insured, in the first place, and if you do work as a court clerk, you should know that, and you should have an claim there as well, if he wont come through with his gurantee of the 5-year warranty on the new roof ? I know with the economy being what it is how everybody is cutting back but your are lucky they are still in business. So don’t put this off, or the Black Mold problems can get your place condemed, if not fixed very soon. You Gotta get touff girl. no one like to do it, but sometimes people will just take advantage of minorities if they feel they can get away with it… and some people wont tell you there problems as to why they can’t keep their word and fix it and make it right. Something else you did on the cheep, and now comming back to cost you more, not worth it if you cut corners too… accept you fate if you did, but its your responsability to act fast as you can,and get it fixed soon. I am not in Californa, so you know the Laws better than I do. I wish you the best Cindy and a good new year to you.
1. I don’t want to pay a deductible and do an insurance claim when the roofing company may take it upon themselves to repair the damages.
2. I don’t know who you’re referring to when you say “should he have been bonded, and insured, in the first place,” but if you’re referring to the roofing company, they WERE insured and bonded of course.
3. I don’t see what insurance on a licensed contractor who worked on my roof has to do with my occupation.
4. They already did work on the new roof as part of their 5-year warranty, I wrote about that in this post.
5. I DIDN’T put this off, this post addresses the steps I have ALREADY taken with the roofers and what they’ve already done and what they’re also going to do in the near future.
6. Who said I did this “on the cheep?” I didn’t do this “on the cheep” and it’s not coming back to cost me more because work done under their warranty doesn’t cost me anything, which I also stated on this post, and there is nothing here to say I’m cutting any corners.
7. I also don’t feel this is a “victimized minorities” problem; the roofers are and have been working with me and I’m not one of those people who cry and play the race card anytime someone doesn’t leap tall mountains to do their bidding.
Don’t delay! This needs to get taken care of immediately! NO! Stop arguing. Do it now! NOW!
Hopefully, this’ll learn ya from doing things on the cheep next time too! And I told you to quit getting your references for contractors from your KKK meetings- but you didn’t believe me. WHY DIDN’T YOU BELIEEEEVE ME!???
Now I am all worked up… Damnit, where’s my Xanax???
HAHAHAHAHA!!
*smacking Claudio across the kisser*
Now I feel better.
*handing Claudio Xanax*
You could say that again.
