Vanessa emailed this picture to me from Vanessa night this past weekend. It’s Vanessa, me, and Mr. W at Tapas Restaurant.
Speaking of the weekend, I can’t believe I forgot to mention in the post that on Monday, Mr. W got even more acquainted with his Asian side by going in for his first acupuncture treatment. We must’ve gone to 4, 5 Asian sundries stores trying to find those wooden beaded car seat covers as he’d hoped that the acupressure massaging action would relieve his sciatica pain. No one carried the item anymore. I called my mom asking if we had any covers at home, and mom said she’d just days before thown theirs away. Apparently those seat covers are too fobby even for my parents. My mom then recommended her acupuncturist, who she says not only miraculously cured her sciatica pain in just 1 session, but also cured that of many of her coworkers.
I have to say it was pretty gross to see 30 needles sticking way out of Mr. W’s nekkid back, butt and legs. *heebie jeebies* He’s got a second treatment appointment tomorrow at the same time I have a makeup appointment to do a meet-and-greet with my wedding makeup/hair people.
Let me know how successful the accupuncture is for Mr. W. I suffer the same malady… massage therapy alas offers only temporary relief. Also… does it hurt?
Sorry I am more a lurker than a commenter…
love your blog, though
I love acupunture!!! It has worked many miracles for me. Like the time my arm was swallon that my doc thought it was broken until x-rays showed it wasn’t. I couldn’t move the darn thing until I went to an acupunturist. So how did Mr. W like it?
he needs to just visit chinatown to get those seat covers of his.
jericho – your preference is lurking? But I’m always so HAPPY to get a comment from you! =)
Mr. W hasn’t called me back yet after his acupuncture today. I know from the first session, tho, that he said he felt only tapping as the acupucturist tapped the needles in; he never felt actual pricking. This is a licensed acupuncturist, tho, who knows how to avoid nerves (she explained that to me). Mr. W said there was relief after the 1st session, but after driving awhile again, the pain returned. So we’ll see how session 2 goes.
busykitty – I’ll have to ask him how he liked it. After the 1st session he was really impressed with the acupuncturist’s ability to feel along his muscles and pinpoint the exact sites of pain, and he likes it much better than the Western solutions of drugs, painkillers, surgery.
anny – *whimpering* Chinatown? *lips quivering* I can’t do Chinatown again!!! *curling up and rocking back and forth*
What a great photo!!! You are looking so “wedding ready”!!!! You have a glow about you. Happiness glows!!
How did the acupunture go?
That’s exactly what Vanessa said when she emailed me the photo! She said I have a “glow.” I explained that it was just the new mineral makeup and plus I added blush to my makeup routine for the first time. I’m still not used to the blush. I look flushed to me. But maybe it IS a “glow” from inside…
omg do i ever have some catch-up blogging to do… you look great! We can call you C-glo! been tanning?
I know!! We wanna know what’s going on wit YOU, Jordan!
Well, if you read back, you’ll read how I got that tan…
